Next week the Rugby World Cup will begin. As a Kiwi (New Zealander) I am very excited about this...especially because it is in Japan. 

The All Blacks have been ranked World number 1 by the International Rugby Board since 2003 however, recently they have lost their ranking to Ireland. We are however the defending champions having won the last two World Cups. We are the first team to ever win back to back world cups. 

This year will be very competitive with teams like South Africa and England in strong form. Japan has a chance of getting out of pool play facing Russia, Scotland, Ireland and Samoa. Russia should be an easy win and Scotland and Samoa will be close games...I dont like Japans chances against Ireland though. 

Lets Go The All Blacks and Cherry Blossoms!
